Overview

Black Hills State University (BHSU), located in Spearfish, South Dakota, is one of the largest teacher training institutions in the state, with an educational tradition of more than 140 years. Its School of Education has been accredited by the American Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) to ensure that the teaching quality meets national standards. BHSU offers a variety of courses from early childhood education to secondary education, covering special education, outdoor education and other special projects.
