Daemen University is a private university located in Amherst, New York, USA. Founded in 1947 as Rosary Hill College, it is now a non-sectarian, co-educational, comprehensive university.The university offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in the health sciences, business, education, and arts and sciences.The campus is located on approximately 46.5 acres of land and is ideally situated near downtown Buffalo, and Daemen is known for its small class sizes, hands-on orientation, and interdisciplinary curriculum, as well as its multiple research centers and simulation labs, and its emphasis on preparing students for careers and engaging them in the community.The Wildcats, the university's athletic teams, are part of the NCAA Division II East Coast Conference (ECC).
