Overview

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), located in Iowa, is the largest community college in the state and was founded in 1966. The school has six campuses, covering Ankeny, Boone, Carroll, Newton, Urban and West Des Moines, serving an area of 6,550 square miles, which accounts for approximately 11% of the state's land area. DMACC offers more than 220 degree, diploma and certificate programs in liberal arts, nursing, business, technology, public safety and other fields, supporting traditional students, adult learners and online learners. The school focuses on practice-oriented, has advanced laboratories and simulation training facilities, and is committed to cultivating leaders with a global vision and social responsibility. DMACC also offers a variety of continuing education and adult education courses to meet the needs of different students.
