East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, founded in 1893, is a medium-sized public comprehensive university affiliated to the Pennsylvania State System. The main campus is located in the scenic Pocono Mountains, covering an area of about 258 acres, with 57 teaching and living buildings, including a modern technology center, a planetarium and a natural history museum. It offers 49 undergraduate, 20 master's and 2 doctoral programs, with a total of about 5,600 students and a student-teacher ratio of about 20:1. The campus has a diverse culture and has rich campus resources such as a planetarium, a school newspaper, and a radio station. The sports program is famous for the NCAA Division II "Warriors" team.
