Georgetown College is a private Christian liberal arts college located in Georgetown, Kentucky. It was founded in 1829 and is the first Baptist university west of the Appalachian Mountains. The campus covers an area of about 104 acres and has historic Greek Revival buildings, such as Giddings Hall (built in 1839). The college offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and a master's degree in education. The student-teacher ratio is about 14:1, and the average class size is about 17 people. Adhering to the Christian spirit, emphasizing teaching and counseling, it is committed to shaping students' all-round development in morality, intelligence, and physical fitness. Students can participate in NAIA Mid-South Conference sports, and the school team "Tiger Team" has won many awards.
