Overview

Lasell University was founded in 1851 as a women's seminary. It was upgraded to a two-year college in 1932, a four-year university in 1989, and a "university" in 2019. The campus covers an area of about 54 acres and is located in the suburbs of Boston. It has about 2,000 students, more than 60 undergraduate/graduate courses, and a student-teacher ratio of about 14:1. The sports are NCAA Level 3 "Lasers", and common popular majors include fashion, business and communication.
