Founded in 1973, Roxbury Community College (RCC) is a public community college located in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, USA, dedicated to providing a high quality education to students from multicultural backgrounds.The college offers 24 associate degrees and six certificate programs in the humanities, sciences, business, and health sciences, and has established transfer agreements with a number of four-year colleges and universities in Massachusetts.RCC's student body is predominantly black, Latino, and ethnically diverse, with approximately 80% of the student body coming from Boston and 83% of the student body receiving Pell grants.Located on a 16-acre campus, RCC offers a state-of-the-art science laboratory, a media arts center, and the Reggie Lewis Athletic and Sports Center, providing students with a wealth of academic and athletic resources. In addition, RCC offers free tuition programs such as MassEducate and MassReconnect to support Massachusetts residents in their pursuit of higher education.
