Texas A&M University at Galveston, or TAMUG, is an institution of higher education focused on ocean and maritime studies. As the island campus of Texas A&M University, TAMUG is committed to developing leaders who will change the world. The university educates approximately 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students each year in programs spanning the fields of marine science, engineering, business, liberal arts and transportation.TAMUG offers 15 undergraduate and six graduate degree programs, as well as several minors such as scuba diving, cybersecurity and marine resources. The university also emphasizes core value education aimed at promoting the blue economy.
