William Woods University, located in Fulton, Missouri, was founded in 1870 as a girls' school for Civil War orphans. It has grown into a private university offering undergraduate, graduate and online programs. The school is known for its majors in equine studies, American Sign Language (ASL), and criminal justice.WWU focuses on hands-on teaching and learning with more than 40 student organizations spanning academic, service, religious, and social areas. The campus is 225 acres in size and boasts an abundance of campus life and athletic activities.
