The University of Holy Cross is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. It was founded in 1916 and was formerly known as Our Lady of Holy Cross College, which was founded by the Sisters of the Holy Cross Mary. As a Catholic private liberal arts college, the school offers more than 50 undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs covering nursing, psychology, business, education, theology and other fields. UHC focuses on small class teaching and faith-oriented education, emphasizes academic rigor and holistic development, and is committed to cultivating graduates with professional skills and social responsibility.
